I’m Beth. I’m a school counsellor with almost fifteen years of counselling experience and two master’s degrees, and I still get genuinely giddy when a student nails a scholarship essay.
How It Works
Six coaching sessions for your young person, spread over three to four months. We start together as a family, I work one-on-one with your teenager through the middle, and we come back together at the end so everyone’s on the same page.
Session 1: Family Kickoff
Student & Family
I get to know your family’s values, what you’re hoping for, and some of your dreams. We also talk worries. Both dreams and worries are important here.
Session 2: Student Deep Dive
Student Only
Space to actually explore what your teenager wants. Not what looks good. Not what gets a nod at Thanksgiving dinner. We work to discover what actually lights your young person’s brain up.
Sessions 3 & 4: Exploration and Strategy
Student Only
Tailored to whatever your child needs most – program research, scholarship strategy, application prep, or figuring out how to talk about themselves on paper. Custom support with bespoke resources.
Session 5: Review and Refinement
Student Only
Fresh eyes on applications. Deadline checks. Scholarship tracking. I’m the person who catches the thing everyone else missed.
Session 6: Family Wrap-Up
Student & Family
What we accomplished, where your young person is going, what comes next. Clear and concrete plans, no stress.
Between sessions, your student can reach out by email with quick questions. I’m in their corner throughout, not just during our scheduled time together. Imagine having a support specialist at your fingertips?
